2009 Show Schedule
May 2-3 Steeple Ridge Season Opener (Charlotte, VT)
Steeple Ridge was a great first show of the year for us! Katherine Lawton started out the day in the Beginner Division. Katherine rode I Can't Believe He's Not Butter! and was 8th in Equitation, 9th in Horsemanship, 3rd in Pleasure, and 3rd in Trot Poles. Nice job! Kendra Murphy then rode Butter in leadline, and won her class! Sophia Comi rode Butter in Advanced Beginner and was 2nd in Equitation, 1st in Horsemanship, 1st in Pleasure, 2nd in her crossrail warmup, and 1st in her Crossrail Equitation. Sophia also was the Advanced Beginner Champion, her first champion ever! Awesome job! Katie O'Brien gave the 2' division a try and was great. In the Children's Eq 2'-2'3", Katie rode Butter and was 4th in the flat and 5th over fences. Katie was also 5th in her second Pre-Children's Hunter over fences class and 5th in the flat. Katie moved up this year from Advanced Beginner. Not bad for her first time showing over courses!
June 6-7 Summerfield Farm (Essex Junction, VT)
Summerfield Farm's 3rd Annual Horse Show was a great success! For the first time, we had two rings on Saturday! The weather was great all weekend and we had a pretty good show overall!
Cathryn Trendle and Class Act had their first show with Summerfield! They showed in the High/Low Modified Adult Hunters and Equitation. In the Hunters, Cassie got a 3rd over fences, a 4th in the Handy Hunter, and 8th under saddle. In the Equitation, Cassie was 5th on the flat and 2nd over fences. Cassie then won the Medal class!
Valerie Campbell and Piaretta showed in the Adult Hunters, winning both over fences classes and was second in the under saddle. They were the Adult Hunter Champions. In the Equitation, Val was 2nd over fences and on the flat, and then was 4th in the NEHC Adult Medal.
Kendra Murphy showed I Can't Believe He's Not Butter in leadline, coming home with another blue ribbon.
Katherine Lawton showed I Can't Believe He's Not Butter in the beginner division. Katherine was 8th in the equitation, 6th in pleasure, 9th in horsemanship, and 2nd in her favorite class, trot poles.
Sophia Comi showed I Can't Believe He's Not Butter in the advanced beginner division. Sophia was 5th in equitation, 4th in pleasure, 6th in horsemanship, and was 1st in the cross rail warmup and 2nd in equitation over fences.
Katie O'Brien showed I Can't Believe He's Not Butter in Children's Equitation 2'-2'3" and Pre-Children's Hunters. In the equitation over fences as well as the flat, Katie was 9th. In the hunters, Katie got a 5th over fences and a 7th in the handy hunter, and was 9th under saddle.
Caitlin Schrack had her first show on Flaming Image. Caitlin did the High/Low Modified Adult hunters and equitation. Caitlin won her Mod Adult Eq Flat class, and was 3rd over fences. Caitlin was also 4th in the Mod Adult Medal. In the hunters, Caitlin and Abe were 5th over fences, 6th in the Handy Hunter, and 7th in the under saddle.

Kendra Murphy showed I Can't Believe He's Not Butter in leadline, coming home with yet another blue!
Sophia Comi showed I Can't Believe He's Not Butter in Advanced Beginners, with an awesome 2nd place in Equitation, 6th in Horsemanship, and 5th in pleasure.
Katherine Lawton showed I Can't Believe He's Not Butter in the beginner division. Katherinewas 3rd in pleasure, 4th in equitation, 6th in horsemanship, and 8th in trot poles.
