The following are a list of Trish's favorite horse books (click title for more information):
The Tao Of Equus by Linda Kohanov. One of my favorite books, Kohanov tells about her experiences with horses as healers.
Riding Between The Worlds by Linda Kohanov. Again telling about horses as healers, in this book Kohanov tells the stories of people who are healed by their horses as their psychiatrists.

Horse: How the Horse Has Shaped Civilizations by J. Edward Chamberlin. This is a condensed history of the horse throughout time. It is easy to read, informative, and well written. It gives a broad overview rather than focusing on specifics. Definatly worth the read for those interested in history or horses. The amount of influence horses have had over history in general is astounding!
The Faraway Horses by Buck Brannaman. Brannaman tells about his life and how horses have influenced him. Read this one before his other book, "Believe."
Believe by Buck Brannaman. In this touching book, Brannaman tells thirteen stories about people he has helped as horsemen and people.
It's Not Just About The Ribbons by Jane Savoie. This book is helpful for all riders, especially those showing. Vermont's own Savoie describes different strategies such as visualization.
That Winning Feeling! by Jane Savoie. In this book, Savoie shows ways for riders to use their mind to their best advantage while riding and in everyday life.
The Rider's Edge by Janet Sasson Edgette. Edgette has written columns for Practical Horseman and is an equestrian sports psychologist. In this Q&A style book, Edgette addresses common problems associated with riding. Great for all ages and levels of riders as well as their families.
Hunter Seat Equitation by George H. Morris. The best training book I've read. An undisputed master of equitation and riding hunter/jumpers, Morris writes an easy to read and useful book.
Natural
Horse-Man-Ship by Pat Parelli. I am working on my Level 3 of the Parelli
program, and I can definatly say that this program can work for anyone and any
horse. Be sure to check out the Parelli website
and
